Sachin Tendulkar - God of cricket

I am finding for a perfect word to describe about this great man. I feel calling him as 'God of cricket' is the right one. This blogger has grown up watching sachin's matches, sometimes even in the street. There is something special about this man. Playing in a competitive sport for more than two decades and to add to it almost maniacal followed by millions and millions of people all over the world, each movements scrutinized and commented, it couldn't have got tougher.

Opening the innings for India, he has been one of the successful key player cricket has ever noticed and by many the greatest of his era. This little master has stolen million hearts with his classic strokes. Starting his career at an age of 16 and continuing his good form till date in all forms of cricket with some pivotal performances, this man is truly a legend.

Champions of champions is in the peak of all the cricket records with 93 centuries in his basket already and making entire world wait to witness his century of centuries. This master has an unique way of playing with blasting the ball at all corners of the stadium. He is also been a think-tank, discussing with the players and building the strategies.

Kudos to his excellent stroke of record 200 runs in the ODI history.

Beneath the helmet, under that unruly curly hair, inside the cranium, there is something we don't know, something beyond scientific measure.Something that allows him to soar, to roam a territory of sport that, forget us,even those who are gifted enough to play alongside him cannot even fathom. When he goes out to bat, people switch on their TV sets and switch off theirlives "BBC on Sachin-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
But the finest compliment must be that bookmakers would not fix the odds-or a game - until Tendulkar was out.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A banner once said-' I WILL SEE GOD WHEN I DIE BUT TILL THEN I WILL SEESACHIN ' that quiet defines Sachin-The greatest.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sachin Tendulkar has often reminded me of a veteran army colonel who hasmany medals on his chest to show how he has conquered bowlers all overthe world -- Allan Donald----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And i remember reading in one of Allan Donald's interview. Thisinterview was in Cricket Talk and 7-8 yrs ago.I was bowling to Sachin and he hit me for two fours in a row. One frompoint and the other in between point and gully. That was the last two balls of the over andthe over after that we (SA) took a wicket and during the group meeting i told Jonty (Rhodes)to be alert and i know a way to pin Sachin. And i delivered the first ball of my next overand it was a fuller length delevery outside offstump. And i shouted catch. To myastonishment the ball was hit to the cover boundary. Such was the brilliance of Sachin. Hisreflex time is the best i have ever seen. Its like 1/20th of a sec. To get his wicket better notprepare. Atleast u wont regret if he hits you for boundaries.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Peter Rebouck - aussie journalist:On a train from Shimla to Delhi, there was a halt in one of the stations. The train stopped by for few minutes as usual.Sachin was nearing century, batting on 98. The passengers, railway officials, everyone on the train waited for Sachin to complete thecentury. This Genius can stop time in India!!-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Cricketers like Sachin come once in a lifetime, and I am privileged he played in my time"- Wasim Akram
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You have to decide for yourself whether you're bowling well or not. He's going to hit you for fours and sixes anyway. Kasprowicz has a superior story. During the Bangalore Test, frustrated, he went to Dennis Lillee and asked, "Mate, do you see any weaknesses?" Lillee replied, "No Michael, as long as you walk off with your pride that's all you can do"- Shane Warne
